How to achieve PCQI status

Upon finding out the news of achieving CQI Practitioner status, Emma said:

“After successfully completing my Quality Practitioner apprenticeship at the end of last year, I applied for the upgrade to my student membership with Chartered Quality Institute and I’m thrilled to share that I have been awarded the grade of Practitioner with CQI. Thanks to my amazing colleagues for their continued support to help me achieve this.”

Emma’s journey started in January 2021, when the Level 4 Quality Practitioner Apprenticeship was first announced as a brand new standard. Emma’s journey to becoming an apprentice, aged 46, for the first time breaks the stereotype of apprentices being 16-18. At the time, Emma was one of the first Quality Practitioner Apprentices to be enrolled on to the apprenticeship.

Since starting her apprenticeship in January 2021 Emma has gone on to be promoted twice, appointed as Governance Director in April 2021 and Managing Director in September 2022.

Throughout the apprenticeship programme, Emma completed additional qualifications which were included in the apprenticeship to further develop her knowledge, skills and behaviours. Highly regarded by Quality professionals, the Bureau Veritas Internal Auditor Certificate in ISO 9001:2015 and the Lean & Six Sigma Yellow Belt included by Whyy? Change.

In December 2022, Emma officially became the World’s First Quality Practitioner Apprentice to achieve a distinction, supported by the End Point Assessment organisation, Occupational Awards Limited.
